Bio
Mr. Malanaphy is a former Manhattan prosecutor whose practice has been devoted to zealous criminal defense for over a decade. After leaving the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in 2001, Mr. Malanaphy accepted an appointment as Administrative Law Judge with the New York City Department of Finance. After serving for two years Mr. Malanaphy was granted a Federal Judicial Clerkship with the United States Court of International Trade. The judge he worked with, the Honorable Justice Evan J. Wallach, now sits on United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. Mr. Malanaphy returned to criminal practice in 2005 and has since handled a broad spectrum of cases ranging from domestic violence and attempted murder to financial crimes and drug related offenses. He has defended hundreds of clients from pre-arrest mitigation through to jury verdict and appeal.
